About

Hi everyone!  I’m a trainer from Southern California and a graduate student in Boston University’s DPT class of 2012.  I live by CrossFit, Olympic Lifting, and Powerlifting.  I love rehabilitation as much as athletic development.  I believe that regardless of if you are an elite athlete, a weekend warrior, or a retired grandparent, you are an athlete.  It’s time to reach your full potential.

  1. hey man, love your site. i see that you have metcons posted for nearly every day. how many per week do you recommend doing if i am also doing the olympic portion? thanks, justin

    • justin, my honest recommendation is that you pick one of the workouts and do them for a while. you have to workout in the larger picture of a program. if you jump back and forth, you’ll just be “ok” at each one. i know it’s tempting because you want to be good at everything, but the best way to progress is to stick to olympic workouts for a few weeks, then go to met-cons for a few weeks, etc. sometimes i include met-cons at the end of my olympic WOD’s too.

stick to 5-6 workouts a week (listen to your body, though). like i said, i prefer to do all oly for a while and all met-con for a while. and don’t do an oly and a met-con in a day unless you have a very strong plan of action for recovery.
